Congratulations to our own Kathleen Hayes, Club Member and Photographer in Residence ! who has for years now been producing beautiful images from across the fleets at GHYC as well as her other work. Some shots taken by Kathleen at last weekends Kinsale Keelboat Regatta are reproduced here. Kathleen has recently received the distinction of ‘Artist FIAP’ from the Federation Internationale de L’art Photographique (The International Federation of Photographic Art: FIAP). The distinction AFIAP is awarded as an acknowledgement of artistic quality, and standards of photographic technique and production. FIAP are the UNESCO recognized worldwide body for photographic art. This distinction is earned through acceptances to and awards at international competitions known as ‘FIAP salons’.  Kathleen has been awarded gold and silver medals, as well ‘honorable mentions’ in competition.
