Beginners’ sailing courses are available to any junior club member who was planning to participate in the following ISA courses this summer:

• Taste of Sailing (splash)
• Start Sailing (level 1), or
• Basic Skills (level 2)

Details of the Course

Each ‘Beginners Sailing Course’ will be delivered in one block of five half-day sessions with our dinghy instructors.
Parents, please book your son or daughter in for a specific week, we will allocate a time by June 15Recognising that, since the summer of 2020, different junior trainees are at different skill levels, as far as possible, trainees will receive a bespoke training session tailored to their skill level.
ISA certificates, for 2021, are NOT the priority and should not be thought of as such.
All Beginners Sailing Courses shall be delivered in strict compliance with guidance from the Government of Ireland re Covid19.
The cost, per participant, is €140 if you use one of our boats and €110 using your own boat. (Families booking multiple places and intending to use their own boats must ensure that there are adequate boat places for each sailor.)

• How to rig and de-rig a dinghy on their own
• Depending on skill level, how to sail a dinghy assisted / not assisted by an instructor
