Weren’t we so lucky that we managed to replace the old clubhouse roof during September before the arrival of storm Ophelia which could have done a total demolition job!!
Now we need to finish the job by putting up a domed roof over the whole courtyard.
This will give us dry, safe and secure boat storage space for future stormy Winters and a great party/lunch/training space for future sunny Summers!
Our big challenge now is how to pay for the new roof!
There is no news from the Dept of Tourism & Sport about our Grant application for part funding (submitted last February), but with all the fundraising we did this Summer, we just need to get the slates sponsored to finish the job …. And that is where we really need your support:
