2024 Cantor Fitzgerald Irish South Coast Dragon Championship – Day 3
The last day of the championship dawned with a flat calm! As the morning progressed there was just enough breeze to allow the fleet to follow the RC support boat out to the start area, about 1.25km south of Adam Island. AP went up at 12.00 noon. Eventually a breeze came in from the south at 1.00pm and the last race got underway.
Overnight leader Jaguar Team Sailing sailed Little Fella to the back of the fleet to protect their first place overall.
Race winner was Phantom, but on count back Sir Osiss of the River got the day prize.
Supremacy placed 8th overall and was awarded Best Glandore Boat.
Prize giving was held outside the Glandore Inn, thanks to Kieran O’Donoghue for loaning us his space.
Hal Andrews, GHYC Commodore, officiated, thanking the sponsors, Cantor Fitzgerald, Fehilly Timoney, Glandore Marine, and RDJ. Special thanks to the Race Committee and the many volunteers on the race support team.
Vince Tubb was thanked for loaning Kyachtic to the Race Committee.
