Glandore Harbour Yacht Club has a relatively small cruiser fleet, relative to what you would expect in such a safe picture postcard harbour.  It may be that the lure of the One Design racing fleets is too great.  But for cruising people, the harbour being between Kinsale and Baltimore and around the corner from Castletownsend offers a range of cruising opportunities from day sails to week long cruises around some of the finest cruising areas in Ireland.

The 2024 season will kick off with the June weekend  At Home Regatta when GHYC receive the KYC white sail fleet racing from Kinsale to Glandore. Also joining will be boats from Schull Harbour Sailing Club (SHSH), Baltimore Sailing Club(BSC) and the Royal Cork Yacht Club (RCYC).

After that, who knows?  Calves Week for occasional racers?  In past years there were picnics arranged…
