The Squibs and Dragons were treated to absolute champagne sailing conditions today as they raced out of the harbour to meet the onrushing Kinsale cruiser fleet on the final leg of their run from Kinsale. Results for the local fleets after two races mean it’s all to play for tomorrow with First Gun at 11am tomorrow. The Glandore and Kinsale fleets adjourned to the Club where a Barbecue of epic proportions was being served up by the GHYC Social dream team. Kinsale hosted the prize-giving for their David & Michelle Ackerlind weekend event at GHYC with prizes for the various classes with the overall going to the Carroll brothers on “Chancer”. Big thanks to all those who contributed to the BBQ be it with their time or by despatching food/ Barbequeues etc and a big shout out to Diarmuid O Donovan and the team at Glenmar Shellfish for the delicious fish. See you all on the water tomorrow.
