Our GHYC Primary Schools Sailing Programme for 2022 kicked off this week when the Club welcomed Glandore National School. Under the watchful eye of our enthusiastic team of GHYC Instructors and Helpers the kids spent three days on the water learning the basics of sailing while having belly aching amounts of fun!

The Glandore contingent had superb weather for their three days with sun and light breezes making beach picnics, sailing basketball and lots of other games a feature of every day!

The group students, made up of sailors and those new to the sport, could be heard squealing and laughing around the harbour. It was just wonderful to see and hear!

Long may this weather last and we look forward to welcoming our other schools over the next few weeks.
