A few things to note…..
Spring League: Due to the works due to be carried out in the Glandore Harbour, the 6-week Spring League will have to be sailed from Union Hall. We need to assess demand for this to see if we can get permission to keep boats in Union Hall between racing, for those who want/ need this option. Please can we ask you to complete a very quick questionnaire about this (even if only to tell us that you can’t take part) before Wednesday 22nd March. We will then be able to assess whether the League can go ahead or not. PLEASE FILL IN THE SURVEY at

Team Racing: Initial Team Racing training is scheduled in June for those who are able to attend. There is very little time to prepare for the Marconi event, so if you’re keen to take part, please try to come along. We will wait until the start of July, when more sailors are around to finalise team racing training times that suit most people. Please note that the calendar is very full and it may not be possible to please everyone.
Something for everyone: Please note that while we encourage all sailors to get out and race, the three summer leagues are especially intended for novice sailors – of all ages! If anyone would like to try it out but is not sure that they are confident enough, please let the Dinghy Captain, Junior Organiser, School Principal or one of the Instructors know and we can pair people up with other sailors that are happy to assist. We all started somewhere – so don’t miss out on the fun! Have a go!
Tell us! The Club can only offer racing that works for dinghy sailors if we get feedback from people. If something isn’t working, or not working well, if you’d like more or less of an activity, or have suggestions and ideas for different ways that we can do things PLEASE let us know. New energy and perspectives are really welcome to help us try to ensure that our sailors enjoy the best possible experience.

Notes:
We encourage ALL sailors, whatever their age or experience, to get out racing! It is great for building experience and having fun. The 3 summer leagues (Green, Gold and Blue) are especially intended to accommodate novice sailors. If anyone would like to take part but feels they’d like to go out with a more experienced sailor initially, please contact either Harriet (Dinghy Captain), Jean (Junior Organiser), Kevin (Sailing School Principal) or one of the Instructors and we will organise this.
Entry for events will be via online forms and payment via EPP, unless otherwise notified.
While some Team Racing training has been scheduled, additional sessions will be added. We will look for views of those sailors that wish to be involved before finalising arrangements.
